[10:31am MDT] – This issue is now resolved. All systems are back to normal

Google provided the technical details on this Google AppEngine platform outage:

The issue that occurred today occurred when we moved your app from one datacenter to another, due to an underlying Bigtable performance issue in the original datacenter. Normally, a datacenter move will not be noticeable. However, in this case we encountered some additional problems.

Many of the instances that started up in the new datacenter encountered an error condition and were not healthy. Your requests were timing out on the pending queue waiting for these new instances. The instances were eventually automatically killed and started up again normally. We are still investigating why the initially created instances were unable to service requests.

Google confirmed the issue was a momentary technical problem. Service is running smoothly again. Sorry for the 10 minutes of service disruption.

Around 10:21am, we started seeing a high error rate on our hosting platform, Google AppEngine. This high error rate is leading to a general slowdown of the SnapEngage system, and some lost messages (the slowdown is causing some connection timeouts).

We are actively working with our service provider to determine what the issue is, and to restore service as quickly as possible.

Please check back here for updates.
